[Winter was here. Each day the outside world grew colder and colder. More snow fell on the streets, and Veronica could already see decorations being set up around Goldenrod, giving everything a much more festive look.
Christmas was coming, and it confused Veronica, for several reasons. Many questions had been raised for her: Where was she going to spend the holiday season? Where was she going to get presents for her friends? Did she have to spend time with her friends? Did she even have friends here in the first place?
These questions clouded her mind all day, and she was unable to shake them off. Clearly, there was only one way to fix this.
The anonymous function on her pokegear had almost never been touched until now. Veronica almost didn't know what she was doing before it started working and she was able to type out her questions.]
If you were going to get someone that had done a lot of good deeds for you a gift, what kind of gift would it be? Expensive? Hand-made?
Second, how would you give it to them?
Third... what do people normally do here, around this time of the year? I'm still new here, and I don't normall... celebrate Christmas..
[She almost leaves it at that, although something tugs at her that makes her keep typing.]
Also, has anyone seen a woman named Adorea around Goldenrod? I'm looking all over for her.

Maybe the best gift is just to be there for them and a hug maybe. Everything else might be just nice things to add into it, though I still want to give at least something else too.

Exactly!
Baking? Yeah, I'm not very good at that either. Baking isn't one of my skills.

Or if they were a friend from home or some stranger, who is really new here and looks like they'd need some financial support, I guess that could be an execption... But even then I'd rather give a gift card instead of real money.
Haha, yeah it's not one of my skills either. I've always had people taking care of me, so I never really learned how to bake at all or cook other than some real basics. Well, and I've never really had an interest in either anyway, so we just silentely agreed to not even make me really try them.

Oh yeah? I had to learn how to take care of myself, but I never learned anything like baking.
I'd probably suck at it if I tried.

Well, I can take care of myself as far as fighting and other things go, and I know how to do simple food like grill a fish... But actually cooking or baking? I usually just help people, who can actually do them.
Hey, you never know if you don't try! I say, but then again I could say the same about myself. I wouldn't want to explode a kitchen or something.

It must be really easy around here then.
Back home, my sister had servants and such to do that kind of work for her. She never understood how much hard work I went through. [Bluh.] But, whatever. It doesn't really matter.
...Heh. Me either. Exploding a kitchen sounds pretty dangerous.

I don't have any siblings and I've never had servants though I've seen them, but that sounds very unfair. Why weren't they helping you too? [No wait...] I mean if that's not too personal to ask and if it is, we can just move on. Going through a lot of hard work though? Definitely been there too and it's not easy. I've been trained since I was little.
...I guess it would be a lot more dangerous even for me here than back home. Well, I'm not about to try it, so we won't have to find out just how dangerous it could be. :D

...No, it's okay. I was raised in a different place then my sister, Fran. She grew up in an estate and I traveled all over my world with my father before he sent be back home. I'd never even met my sister before then.
no subject
[Ohhhh.
Oooops, now Korra is not sure what to say to that and not wanting to assume that traveling sounds fun. Who knows is it fun or not... But considering how she's been isolated most of her life, traveling all over the world sounds fun.]
So, you got to see a lot of the world then?
no subject
might as well go basic.]
Thanks. Hearing that is a big help.
Yeah. It was kind of fun, actually. I got to see different cities and all different kinds of people. Some weren't so friendly though.

Wow. That sounds like a lot of fun, I wish my life had been like that too but I kind of spend 17 years locked up in one city. ...There's always those, who'd deserve a good punch in the face, huh.
no subject
...It was pretty fun. Sometimes there was hard work to do, but I did it. Eventually I was sent back home and that was when I met my sister. That was a long trip too.
no subject
Good, good everyone should have some fun in their life. Hard work is the bad part of, but we just have to deal with it. I'm glad you got to meet your sister! ...Did you have to go back alone, all the way alone?
no subject
[Wow, she's at a loss for words.]
Thank you. And, yes, I had to go back alone. I mean, I wasn't alone all the time. It was a lonely journey though.
