5th blade [Goldenrod/Anon Text]

[Winter was here. Each day the outside world grew colder and colder. More snow fell on the streets, and Veronica could already see decorations being set up around Goldenrod, giving everything a much more festive look.

Christmas was coming, and it confused Veronica, for several reasons. Many questions had been raised for her: Where was she going to spend the holiday season? Where was she going to get presents for her friends? Did she have to spend time with her friends? Did she even have friends here in the first place?

These questions clouded her mind all day, and she was unable to shake them off. Clearly, there was only one way to fix this.

The anonymous function on her pokegear had almost never been touched until now. Veronica almost didn't know what she was doing before it started working and she was able to type out her questions.
]

If you were going to get someone that had done a lot of good deeds for you a gift, what kind of gift would it be? Expensive? Hand-made?

Second, how would you give it to them?

Third... what do people normally do here, around this time of the year? I'm still new here, and I don't normall... celebrate Christmas..

[She almost leaves it at that, although something tugs at her that makes her keep typing.]

Also, has anyone seen a woman named Adorea around Goldenrod? I'm looking all over for her.

hmm i don't think it really matters what kind of present it is?
as long as it's something given from the heart!

[personal profile] hiraoyogi 2014-12-04 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
it helps if it's really cool tho (´ω`)

if she likes money a lot then that would be a good idea
then she could buy lots of things!
that would kind of be like extra presents

1 & 2: get them something you think would make them really happy. I don't think it matters if it's expensive or not or how nice you wrap it, as long as the gift is something special.

3. this is my first christmas too :( I think it's going to be different from christmas back home though

Oh, I like making gifts for my friends. But if I can't, I make sure that it's something I know they'll like and is just for them--it doesn't have to be expensive. Usually I give them in person, but if I can't I have my Pokemon deliver them.

As for celebrating Christmas, you can do whatever you want, as long as it's something you have fun with you'll have had a good Christmas.

Sometimes even a card just to show you're thinking about that person is enough, too.

[And you can't mess up a card. She thinks. Maybe.]

Of course! Having fun is super easy, especially when you're with friends for the holidays.

Well, I would get them something that I know they like - something that's their favourite colour, or maybe their favourite flower. Things like that, you know? And if you don't happen to know what things they like, then something that reminds you of them should work, too, I think. After all, it's the thought that counts more so than the present itself, right?

This will be my first Christmas here, too, but it shouldn't be too different. I liked spending it with my friends,
[her idol members, unfortunately, are the only instances she remembers.] and we had a lot of fun hanging out together and giving each other presents. You should try spending it with a group of friends if you can; it's a lot better that way than spending it alone.

[Unless you're just that type of person.]

You should see if you can find a florist's shop and purchase her some sunflowers then!

[Oh dear. At the second part, she hesitates for a moment.]

I'm sorry I offended you in any way! It wasn't my intention to. Even so, you should spend Christmas the way you'd like to; there's not a right or wrong way to celebrate Christmas, so do what's best for you. There are plenty of ways to celebrate it alone.

1. Something they like.

2. Toss it in a bag and say "here".

3. Most people around here celebrate it with their friends, but you can celebrate it however the hell you want. It's not like the Christmas Police is gonna come burn your house to the ground or something if you don't do the same shit everybody else is doing.

What, you wanna make it complicated?

And yeah, maybe. You might also have to worry about a bunch of weird-ass reindeer showing up and crashing through windows and kicking you in the head. Depends on how lucky we get.

I'm still trying to figure the first one out myself too. I'm not good at making things with my hands, so that's not an option for me... But if you're good at that, I think those would be pretty great.

But whatever I'll end up giving to her, I want to give it to her personally - and maybe watch while she opens it from the wrapping paper or envelope, whichever I'll end up using.

Bracelet sounds cute! I think my skills would be enough for something like that too.

[But she's not going to make a bracelet for Asami. She should try to think of ideas, really, or else she'll get something on the last minute.]

Because giving a gift personally adds a lot more meaning to it, if you ask me. And watching while they open it can be very exciting.
