[It's morning, and from the position of the screen, it's clear that it's outside somewhere. It's zoomed in on a terribly scarred hand. In the palm of said hand, is a badge. It stays focused on the badge for a few seconds before the hand then moves away; the screen moved away with it, blurring out until it finally settles on Veronica's semi-happy face.

Considering how her last few posts had been her resenting the world around her, and suffering because of it, this was a step up.]

So, everyone is after these badges, huh? Frankly, I'm surprised how much I had to go through to get it. A few of my Pokémon ended up fainting...

[She continued to look the bad over for a second, and it almost looks like she's about to say something else until something peculiar happens. Veronica's cheeks are abruptly squished, the corners of her lips pushed up by invisible fingers to make it look as though she was smiling more than she was.

Sufficed to say, she is very surprised by this. So, obviously the right thing to do in this situation is to struggle against whatever had her by the face. To the viewers, at least, the answer comes when a set of floating eyes appear behind Veronica's head, looking straight at the screen for a second until a full, purple body forms around them. It was 2shade, one of her new ghost Pokémon. She giggles childishly and finally lets go of her new trainer, floating around her. Come on, new trainer! Smile because you did something good!]

...O-oh. Two-shade. [Veronica released a breath. There was never going to be a time where she'd be complete okay with having more ghost Pokémon.]

Anyways... I managed to get the badge, but I don't know how I can get that Hidden machine people talk about. Does anyone know where I can get one? Or one I could borrow, I suppose.

Congrats on getting your badge, Veronica! Sounds like you want Fly! Joker let me borrow his and teach it to Inferno, but if I remember correctly you can actually get it when you beat Chuck in Cianwood City!

By the way, who's your friend there?

A few of her Pokémon fainted to get her that badge, she almost socked Falkner in the face.]

....Oh. [She gestured to the Gengar behind her.] This is... 2shade. I got her from a friend.

[Veronica, that's...not...]

[He waves a little at 2shade, grinning.]

[He was scared. As he should be.]

I think they evolve through trading. They're apparently very powerful Pokémon.

[2shade giggles happily and waves back at Jimmy. Hello! You look really tall! She floats behind Veronica as she's speaking, quietly lifting her trainer's hat off to play with her hair.]

She, uh, has a brother too. I got two pokemon from this guy.

[And they're both... ghosts. Why.]

Well they sure do look cool, that's for sure!

[And...cool = powerful, apparently.]

Aw, that was nice of him to give you such a strong Pokemon, then!

Yeah... He disappeared all of a sudden, and apparently wanted me to look after Wicked G and 2shade for him.

[....Yes, those are their names. She doesn't really get it either.]

Geeze, how did I end up with so many ghosts anyways... [Bluh, but, getting back on track...] So, I have to go to Cianwood to get the Hm?

[Even worse is that Jimmy thinks those are pretty cool names, actually. They're, uh...creative?]

Oooh, okay. Yeah, that's happened to me before too.

And yeah, unless you can find somebody who will let you borrow theirs!

[They're something alright. She's not entirely sure what yet.

Meanwhile, 2shade seems more than content to block out the conversation as she went about putting hairclips in her new trainer's hair so she could be cute too. Veronica, surprisingly, didn't seem to notice.]

Hmm.... Everyone's been telling me that i should go to Cianwood or Safferon to get the HM. And I don't know anyone who would let me borrow theirs.

[Jimmy can't help but smile at that as he shrugs his shoulders a little.]

Well, I guess it all depends on where you're closest to! Since you can't actually fly yet. If I had it I'd let you borrow mine, but I haven't actually gotten it yet.

Hmm.

[Well, that left her with a few options, and she didn't really like them.]

I suppose I should head to Cianwood then. I can try and get the HM there.

Good luck getting it, Veronica! The good thing is, once you have it traveling will be a whole lot easier.
